Bird Walking Sock by Jane Prater of Merely a Suggestion
I assume that the name refers to the design the stitches form as they march up the ankle and not any requirement to walk like a bird while you wear these.
But just in case I’m wrong, hey, I’ll try anything for a nice pair of hand-knit socks.
